North Bexhill Access Road

2016-2018

This Project was undertaken by a large Civil Engineering principle contractor, which we worked under and helped throughout this project.

This Project was completed for a client 'Sea Change Sussex' this project was designed to provide a link between the A269 and the Combe Valley Way Link.  This project consisted of a 2.4km single carriageway road with accompanying shared cycle/footpaths which under Section 38 agreements we tied into to existing infrastructure at both ends. As for the Section 238 or the new build phases these were to construct three new roundabouts and tie an existing fourth roundabout onto our new carriageway. One of these areas required the construction of a large embankment, consisting of a 34m long culvert, 900 CMC piles, with Geogrids for stability and drainage purposes, Terramesh units, gabion baskets and circa 40,000 cubic metres of fill material.

PROITEUK Directors (As mentioned this is where they met) were helping onsite with large quantities of setting out/surveying/creation of as-built drawings and also vast amounts of QA for the following items:

- Bulk earthworks

- Utilities

- Carriageway Construction

- Asphalt Works

- Drainage

- Fencing/Landscaping

  and much more...

Also.... to top it all off, these works to the embankment received the ICE Brassey Award (Kent and East Sussex) for ‘Engineering Excellence’.
